GENERAL FAQs
1) What are the EFx hours?
Please refer to the program page on the website for specific hours associated with the EFx (ie registration, sessions, functions etc..)
2) Is lodging provided for attendees?
No. This is a 1-day event. If attendees are traveling far and need overnight accommodations, they will need to make those arrangements personally. But in any case they can contact host team for the same.
3) Are meals included?
Yes. However, please refer to the program page for specific functions and times.
4) Can special meal requests be made?
Only Vegetarian food is going to be served at the event.
5) What should I wear to EFx?
EFx is casual attire. However, please keep in mind that some sessions and activities may offer introductions to industry representatives, faculty and distinguished guests.
6) Do I need to bring anything to EFx?
In general – No. However, please refer to the program for specific descriptions of the sessions. For example if there is a career development session, you may want to bring a copy of your CV / Resume.
7) I registered but now I can no longer attend – Is there a refund policy?
No, there is no refund.
8) Could EFx be cancelled due to weather?
The safety of our attendees is our number one priority. If required to cancel EFx due to dangerous weather or any other circumstances, registrants will contacted as soon as possible. Information about refunds (if applicable) will be provided at that time.
9) Will there be wireless internet access at EFx?
No.
10) Is filming or recording allowed?
Material presented at ASME events is the copyright of ASME. Recording presentations in their entirety with the intent to distribute to others is prohibited. The use of personal smart phones, cameras or video devices should be limited to recording snap-shots or snippets for personal use. We encourage attendees to post these activities on social media to share and convey the excitement of the festival. Further information will be provided when registration opens.
11) Are guests permitted to attend any of the functions/activities?
All participants must register separately.
12) Is EFx just open to just college students (undergraduate or graduate)?
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher and all persons must be registered for EFx accordingly. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted access to EFx activities.
13) Can I receive school credit for participation at EFx?
Currently, ASME does not provide school credit for participation at EFx. Please check with your professor(s) if they will grant credit.
14) How can my School or University apply to Host an EFx?
Visit the E-Fest Global website and under "Get More Information," select "Hosting" from the dropdown menu and fill out your contact information. A representative from ASME will reach out to you with further details.
15) Is there a map of the campus that displays the location of all events?
Yes, a campus map can be viewed on the Location page.
REGISTRATION FAQs
1) What is included in the Registration fees?
Registration fees include access to all programs, activities and functions associated with the planned EFx.
2) Is ASME Membership required to participate at EFx?
No. If you are not already a member, we hope that your experience in ASME’s EFx event will encourage you to become a member. ASME membership details will be provided on site for your review and acceptance.
3) Is there a discount for ASME Members?
No, the registration fee is the same for ASME members and non-members.
4) Can I register on-site?
No, you cannot register on-site.
5) What are the payment options?
Attendees can pay the registration fees by Credit Card, Wire Transfer. If registration is done “on site”, cash payment is also an option.
6) If I need a VISA to attend E-Fest, can ASME provide a Letter of Invitation?
You can request a Letter of Invitation directly by emailing asmeefx@asme.org.

ASME's Engineering Festivals (E-Fests) are regional events for engineering students that include design competitions, career development workshops, access to thought leaders and innovators in various engineering fields, and networking opportunities. E-Fests also extend beyond the in-person events and provide online content, resources and a community that enables students to foster innovation, network with key players in the industry, connect with peers and celebrate engineering!
